The current information is issued in accordance to Articles 13 and 14 of the EU Regulation 2016/679 of April 27, 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and in compliance with the legislation on the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data.

This policy statement refers to the website www.comunicazionegendersensitive.polimi.it, through which the dcxcg (communication design for gender cultures) research group intends to present and disseminate the “manifesto for gender-sensitive communication”: a document drafted with the aim of providing suggestions and alternative forms to overcome the sexist legacies perpetrated by iconic and verbal language, without breaking the recognized linguistic and grammatical rules. The site is aimed primarily at teachers, students, scholars, and researchers involved in communication and design and asks them to sign the manifesto and adhere to the proposed principles.

RECIPIENTS OF PERSONAL DATA

In relation to the purposes indicated, the data may be communicated to the following public and/or private entities or may be communicated to companies̀ and/or persons who provide services, including external services, on behalf of the Data Controller. In particular, the data collected may be transmitted to service providers necessary for the; performance of the initiative, who are formally appointed by the Politecnico di Milano as “External Data Processors”. Again, the data collected may be communicated to third-party recipients, as sponsors of the initiative, for their own purposes within the framework of the initiative or similar events. Finally, personal data may also be communicated to other public administrations, such as also in anonymous form if they have to process the same for any proceedings of their own institutional competence as well as to all those public subjects to whom, in the presence of the relevant prerequisites, the communication is mandatorily provided for by provisions of the European system, laws or regulations, as well as insurance entities for any accident practices.

TRANSFERRING DATA TO NON-EU COUNTRIES

The personal data will not be transferred to countries outside the EU or International Organizations.  

RIGHTS OF THE INTERESTED PARTIES

The interested subject has the right to request at any time from the Data Controller:

  • confirmation of the existence or non-existence of personal data concerning them;
  • access to their personal data and information related to them;
  • the rectification of inaccurate data or the integration of incomplete data;
  • the deletion of personal data concerning them (upon the occurrence of one of the conditions set forth in Article 17(1) of the Regulations and subject to the exceptions set forth in paragraph 3 of the same Article);
  • the limitation of the processing of your personal data (upon the occurrence of one of the hypotheses indicated in Article 18, paragraph 1 of the Regulation), the transformation into anonymous form or the blocking of data processed in violation of the law, including those that do not need to be kept in relation to the purposes for which the data were collected or subsequently processed.

The interested subject has the right to object in whole or in part:

  • for legitimate reasons to process personal data concerning them, even if relevant to the purpose of collection;
  • to the processing of personal data concerning them for the purpose of sending communications to promote educational initiatives and events of Politecnico di Milano.
